Arrival in Delhi – Full-Day Sightseeing

9:00 AM Proceed to visit to the revered Birla Mandir and Balaji Mandir. Continue onward to the iconic India Gate for a photo stop, followed by an insightful visit to the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, a modern museum dedicated to the lives and contributions of India’s Prime Ministers. After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, proceed to Bharat Mandapam / Pragati Maidan for an external visit and photo opportunity. Delhi Local Sightseeing – Mathura

After breakfast and hotel check-out, begin your day with a visit to the historic Red Fort (Closed on Monday), a UNESCO World Heritage Site that reflects the grandeur of Mughal architecture. Following the visit, enjoy some time for shopping at local markets, where you can explore Delhi’s vibrant bazaars for souvenirs and local specialties. Later, visit the peaceful Lotus Temple, known for its stunning architecture and serene ambiance. After lunch, depart for Mathura (160 Kms / 3.5 Hrs) , a sacred city and the birthplace of Lord Krishna. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax. If time permits, proceed to visit the revered Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple. Later, return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Mathura.

Mathura – Vrindavan – Mathura

Early morning visit to Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple. Return to hotel for breakfast. Post breakfast, proceed to Vrindavan (15 km / approx. 30 mins). Visit:

Krishna Janmabhoomi marks the original spot of the birth of Lord Krishna in the Katra Keshav Deo Temple. The main shrine leads to a small room with a raised platform, and pictures of Krishna and tales of his birth adorning the walls. According to legends, the prison cell, in the temple premise is the exact place where Lord Krishna was born. The stone walled cell is reminiscent of the cruelty of Kansa. Many statues and sculptures from the bygone era were found on excavating the site. Since the prison cell is turned into the present beautiful temple, lakhs of devotees throng the temple during Janmashtami, every year.

Vrindavan is a town in the Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is the site of an ancient forest which is the region where, according to the Mahabharata, the deity Krishna spent his childhood days.
The town is about 10 km away from Mathura, the city of Lord Krishna's birthplace, near the Agra-Delhi highway. The town hosts hundreds of temples dedicated to the worship of Radha and Krishna and is considered sacred by a number of religious traditions such as Gaudiya Vaishnavism, Vaishnavism, and Hinduism in general.
The most popular temples include:
Banke Bihari Temple, built in 1862 is the most popular shrine at Vrindavan. The image of Banke-Bihari was discovered in Nidhi Vana by Swami Haridas, the great Krishna devotee, belonging to the Nimbarka sampradaya.
Jaipur Temple which was built by Sawai Madho Singh II, the Maharaja of Jaipur in 1917, is a richly embellished and opulent temple. The fine hand-carved sandstone is of unparalleled workmanship. The temple is dedicated to Shri Radha–Madhava.
Rangaji Temple, built in 1851 is dedicated to Lord Ranganatha or Rangaji depicted as Lord Vishnu in his sheshashayi pose, resting on the coils of the sacred Sesha Naga. The temple built in the Dravidian style (as a replica of Srivilliputhur) has a tall gopuram (gateway), of six storeys and a gold-plated Dhwaja stambha, 50 feet high. A water tank and a picturesque garden lie within the temple enclosure. The annual festival of Jal Vihar of the presiding deity is performed with great pomp and splendour at the tank. The temple is also famous for its 'Brahmotsdav' celebration in March–April, more popularly known as the 'Rath ka Mela'. The ten-day-long celebrations are marked by the pulling of the rath (the chariot car) by the devotees from the temple to the adjoining gardens. The prayers within the temple are performed, following in the style of Andal, one of the twelve Vaishnava Saints of South India.

Fatehpur Sikri is a city and built near the much older Sikri. Akbar named the city, Fatehabad, with Fateh, a word of Arabic origin in Persian, meaning "victory"; it was later called Fatehpur Sikri. The city served few Mughal kings as their capital. According to historians, Akbar, the great Mughal emperor took great interest in the building of Fatehpur Sikri and also dictated its architectural style. Akbar planned the complex of building on Persian principles. The Easy availability of sandstone in the neighboring areas also meant that all the buildings here were made of the red stone. The imperial Palace complex of city consists of independent pavilions arranged in formal geometry on a piece of level ground.

The Birla Temple, built by BD Birla is the major tourist attraction in the Jaipur city. This temple is also known as Laxmi Narayan Temple as it is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and his spouse Goddess Lakshmi. This temple is located on an elevated ground at the base of Moti Dungri hill. It is one of the major attractions of Jaipur because of its remarkable features. It looks stunning and mesmerizes the onlookers when it is brightly lit in the night. Three huge domes of the temple represent three different approaches to the religion. The stained glass windows of temple depict the scenes from Hindu mythology. It is surrounded by lush green gardens which complete its magnificent look.

The Jantar Mantar is a collection of architectural astronomical instruments, built by Maharaja Jai Singh II between 1727 and 1734. Early restoration work on the same was undertaken under the supervision of Major Arthur Garrett, a keen amateur astronomer. The name is derived from Jantar, instrument, and Mantar, formula, therefore, Jantar Mantar means literally 'calculation instrument'. Maharaja constructed a total of five such facilities at different locations, including the ones at Delhi and Jaipur. The Jaipur observatory is the largest and best preserved. It has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

The City Palace was the seat of the Maharaja of Jaipur and it has the Chandra and Mubarak Mahal palaces and other buildings in its complex. The Chandra Mahal palace is now a museum but most of it is still a royal residence. The palace complex is located in the north-east of the grid patterned Jaipur city and incorporates an impressive array of courtyards, gardens and buildings. The palace was built between 1729 and 1732, by Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber. The Maharani Palace, Baggi Khana are other important parts of the complex. The Govind Dev Ji temple is a part of the complex and its ceiling is ornamented in gold.

The urban quarters are further divided by networks of gridded streets and five quarters wrap around the east, south, and west sides of a central palace quarter. The Palace quarter encloses a sprawling palace complex, formal gardens, and a small lake. Nahargarh Fort, which was the residence of the King Sawai Jai Singh II, crowns the hill in the northwest corner. The observatory, Jantar Mantar, is one of the World Heritage Sites and is an extremely popular tourist destination in Rajasthan and India.
